GRAPEFRUIT

Is soothing and it reduces tension and depression. It is one of nature’s greatest antibacterial products. Grapefruit-seed extract to be effective against more than 800 bacterial and viral strains, 100 strains of fungus, and a large number of single and multicelled parasites. Chemicals found in grapefruits include phenolic acid, which inhibits the formation of cancer-causing nitrosamines; limonoids, terpenes, and monoterpenes, which induce the production of enzymes that help prevent cancer; and bioflavonoid, which inhibit the action of hormones that promote tumor growth.

LEMONGRASS

Calms the nerves and soothes headaches. An antibacterial and antiseptic agent. It is also applied externally as a poultice or as diluted essential oil to ease pain and joint stiffness. Lemongrass is also used as an herbal medicine to treat bacterial and fungal infections, nervous conditions, and inflammation.

SAGE

The oil extract of sage leaf is also strongly antibacterial and an effective antioxidant for stabilizing culinary oils and extending their shelf life. Sage water extract was found to have a remarkable capacity in retarding lipid oxidation. Sage was traditionally used to aid digestion, treat flatulent dyspepsia, soothe coughs and hoarseness, and externally to clean and disinfect wounds and sores as well as to stop bleeding of wounds.

Lavender oil can also be used as a local anesthetic and has significant antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Its name is a derivative of the Latin word “lavare,” which means to wash, and since the time of the Romans has been used as bath oil, particularly to treat wounds, stimulate the skin, and promote drowsiness.
